We need to rewrite the Emoluments Clause. The one that we have doesn't work. After Trump is gone we might actually be able to get to 2/3 & 3/4 on that issue.
I don't know about numbness setting in. My MAGA friends are really, really tired of Trump's constant cons that he is running. It all started with the Qatari 747 "gift" but the latest gripe has been over the Trump T1 cellphones. They are not numb, they are truly pissed. Our Rep, Tom Emmer, has avoided meeting in the district unless it is something where he can control the conversation such as talking about farming. That just keeps pissing off Republicans because they have no where to bitch about the corruption.
Are they going to do anything about it? That is the $64K question. My best guess at the moment based on comments they make is that they stay home for the mid-terms.
